Unrivaled Durability

We make one thing, and we make it better than anyone else – ask any thru hiker and you will likely hear the same. In order to unconditionally guarantee a hiking sock for life, it must be durable. It must maintain its comfort, and it has to fit for miles upon miles on-trail. The socks that do return through warranty inform how we can improve. And we do. Our guarantee is a promise to you, but it’s a standard for us. We have yet to produce our best sock, but we get better with every step.

Reviews

Good

"This is my first pair of merino socks, and I'm very pleased with the material blend. I’ve taken them on a few hikes and they performed excellently. Good for cool springs and warmer seasons. I wore them with a pair of 3-season boots in ~23°C weather, and they were very comfortable, I usually struggle with sweaty feet, and regular socks tend to cause calluses, but with these I had no issues since they manage moisture much better."

Fun Designs in Lightweight Designs

"I love the designs on the sunset ridge micro crew lightweight socks. These socks are just what I was looking for in a lightweight hiking,/ biking sock. Foot bed and heel padding is quite comfortable addition to a lightweight sock. I am a newbie to Darn Tough socks but my initial impression is great so far. I am impressed with the socks construction, designs and highly recommend !"

My new favorite

"I used Wigwam socks for years, my friend recommended Darn Tough socks. I now only wear Darn Tough. I wear them doing everything running, hiking, work, hunting, everything under the sun. Keep my feet dry,, wick moisture, warm in the winter. Everyone should use these socks. The size seem good to fit I'm a size 8. 5 men's skinny feet, wear a size Medium well."

"Love the sunset ridge design. So unique! I got these for my boyfriend after trying some for myself (love my bear socks!). I started buying Darn Tough after constantly putting holes in other expensive socks. A friend at work told me about them. Definitely worth the price!"

Q&A

Does this sock have the same cushioning level and tech as the PCT and CDT lightweight trail socks? Wool, nylon and spandex content look similar. The other two socks appear to have tighter knit around the calves. Would the named trail socks be more durable regarding bushes, rocks and other snags?
Hi Ian, all three of these styles are Lightweight Hiking socks that feature cushion under foot, around the toes, and the heel. The trail socks offer a slightly longer cushion up towards the Achilles. These three styles will offer similar comfort and durability, the main difference being the designs.
