Unrivaled Durability

We make one thing, and we make it better than anyone else – ask any thru hiker and you will likely hear the same. In order to unconditionally guarantee a hiking sock for life, it must be durable. It must maintain its comfort, and it has to fit for miles upon miles on-trail. The socks that do return through warranty inform how we can improve. And we do. Our guarantee is a promise to you, but it’s a standard for us. We have yet to produce our best sock, but we get better with every step.

Reviews

A Happy Camper

"These socks are the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. I have completed 4 Avon Walks (39miles in 2 days) and I wish I had these socks back then. They hug the entire foot, my arch is happy and no hot moisture. They wash well, not too difficult to put on and the lifetime guarantee means I have these socks forever. Buying more to replace the ones I have. A Former Plantar Fasciitis Sufferer"

Best socks out there

"Darn tough’s are the best out there. I’ve tried a wide range of their socks now from tactical, to work, to running. Every single one feels great. I’ve tried other brands as well and I promise, none beats Darn Tough. And I swear I’m not sponsored."

Great Sock

"I wear duty boots everyday at work. These sock are the most confortable and cushioned I think I have ever had. They keep feet dry all day. I am very pleased with thenm and just order some more. The only thing I cannot speak to is how they will last because this review is after about a month. . . . but they do seem like they are going to hol up well."

Best hiking socks, I’ve tried

"Best hiking socks, I’ve tried others but I always come back to darn tough. Durability and strength are unmatched and they are soft top quality off. Nice colors too choose from, best height of sock for outdoor activities. My favorite socks that I recommend to anyone who loves comfort"

Awesome socks and even better customer service!

"Awesome socks and even better customer service! My first pair of socks I bought were a different style, I wore and washed them but wasn’t a huge fan. I decided to try this full cushion sock next and it is absolutely amazing! I contacted customer support and told them I didn’t care for the first style but loved the second pair. They said “okay send them back and we will ship you the kind you love free of charge with a paid shipping label”. All of this after wearing them and washing them, I’ve never dealt with a more committed company and they just gained a life long customer."

They are the ideal socks

"They are the ideal socks for my wading boots. The boots are a half size to big but with the full cushion midweight they are perfect fit."

These socks never disappoint! They

"These socks never disappoint! They are still the same high quality socks that bring us back to darn tough again and again. Our most recent order included socks for people in our house and socks to give as gifts!"

Great Socks

"Great socks, great fit, thickness is great. Love the material and workmanship. Different color combos also look stylish."

Barry B. (4/5)

Darn Tough are the best

"Great socks. My limiting factor on hikes was my feet. Hotspots at roughly 6 miles. Now up to 8 miles and no issues with a 25# pack."

Q&A

My husband has wide feet with a high instep. Should I size up from a Men’s L to a Men’s XL to allow for extra width and instep? His shoe size is 10.5 - 11 Thank you
We would recommend sticking with the L and trying something from our Tactical line as they tend to offer more stretch than some of our other styles!
