If you redesign one of the most popular socks in the line you better come correct. Increased breathability with mesh panels on top of the foot, a new smooth ribbing upper that stays put forever, and extended cushion over the Achilles - just a few heavy additions to one of the lightest hike socks out there.

Unrivaled Durability

We make one thing, and we make it better than anyone else – ask any thru hiker and you will likely hear the same. In order to unconditionally guarantee a hiking sock for life, it must be durable. It must maintain its comfort, and it has to fit for miles upon miles on-trail. The socks that do return through warranty inform how we can improve. And we do. Our guarantee is a promise to you, but it’s a standard for us. We have yet to produce our best sock, but we get better with every step.

For me, the perfect socks

"For me, the perfect socks are lightweight with cushion year round for everything. I wear no-shows or quarters in the summer, and micro crews the rest of the year. I have 16 pair of the micro crews and I wear each pair for a week before throwing them in the laundry. With all the different color combinations and designs, I love throwing them all into a big pile in my sock drawer, then reaching in blind to grab 2 socks and wearing whatever mismatch is in my hands for the entire week - loads of fun, especially when people notice and comment ;)"

My husband is a convert!

"My husband is finally discovering the joys of good wool socks! He thought they would be too warm (his feet get hot and sweat), but that hasn't been a problem with his new Darn Tough socks. He says they are really comfortable!"

"Best socks ive used in a long time, won me over from balega. Fit is great, no odor, durable is use and in the wash/dry arena. Im a darn tough guy now!"

Both comfortable and warm

"The first thing I noticed when putting on my Darn Tough socks was how much more padded my soles and heels felt, and without any itch. When I walked out into cool air I knew I'd bought a good pair of socks for the winter."

— Stephen B. (5/5)

Flashy socks

"I’ve never been too big on “colored designed” socks. I’m not flashy. But I have to say, these CDT socks and PCT socks are just flat out cool. And they’re great to wear. I’m enjoying my socks! Great job!!!"

Best Socks on the Market

"These are the best all around socks I've ever bought. They keep my feet cool in the summer, warm in the winter. They fit all of my boots, but aren't rough against my feet. They worked great in Alaska, and they work great in Missouri too. My go too socks I'll buy more of in the future."

Super comfort

"These are just the right weight for warm, summer hikes, yardwork, and working out. Super comfortable home, I love the color."

— Edwin W. (5/5)

Great lightweight hiking sock

"I frequently hike 10+ miles at a time and I wanted to try a thinner sock for warm summer days that and also so that they wouldn't take up too much room in my boots. They were plenty cushioned and not too warm. I will only be buying lightweight socks from now on. Probably not suitable for hiking under 60 degrees Fahrenheit but otherwise my favorite hiking sock ever."
