  • Silky soft Merino Wool is a natural choice for breathable, long-wearing comfort and effortless style.
  • Lightweight yarns create socks so smooth and comfortable you'll want to wear them all day, and the next.

All-Day Merino Wool Comfort

To say we knit with the finest yarns is both a statement of quality and comfort. Merino Wool yarn is indeed a fine yarn – thin, silky, nothing like rag wool. For our more casual socks and dress socks, we knit using our thinnest Merino with a watchful eye over a performance fit. This means our lifestyle socks are sublimely smooth and wrap your foot, truly seamlessly, without bunching or slipping. Add wool’s ability to stay dry, resist odor, and regulate temperature, and you have all-day comfort. At least.

Reviews

Excellent Quality, but Very Generous Sizing

"The quality is absolutely amazing! The fabric feels incredibly nice to the touch, and the socks are very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, size L is very generously sized and a bit too big for me. They're also surprisingly long, reaching almost to my knees. Other than the sizing, they're fantastic socks!"

Best socks I have owned

"I have a few of these pairs as well as others from Darn Tough. Comfortable and fit is great. I have purged all other old socks and brands from my drawer."

— David P. (5/5)

Excellent socks, super comfortable, not

"Excellent socks, super comfortable, not friction hot spots like with other socks I've tried. I'll replace the whole sock drawer with these!"

— Jeroen B. (5/5)

good socks, and I appreciate the simplicity of design

"These socks are quite good. And I appreciate the fact that they are a single color instead of a funky pattern -- plain (solid color) socks go with everything in every situation (IMO). I am looking for an everyday sock that I can buy a dozen or two pairs and wear them . . . every day. :-) These socks are comfortable but perhaps a little warm on a hot summer day. I hope to wear them year round, but I'm still figuring out if that will work for me, since I am not particularly heat tolerant. Overall, I like darn tough as a brand and I like that they're made in the USA and that they have such a good return policy. Hard to beat! :-)"

— Martin R. (4/5)

long, skinny, happy feet

"I have long skinny feet. As we all know socks have to fit right, feel right. I ordered the standard crew with both a cushioned foot and an uncushioned foot. The cushion is not too puffy and it won. I now have the men's standard crew with cushion in black, grey and white for my long, skinny, happy feet."

— Linda B. (5/5)

Comfortable and soft sock for

"Comfortable and soft sock for everyday use. Great for temperature and moisture control in any condition. High quality wool. Holds up after multiple wears with no unwanted stretching."

— Erica M. (5/5)

no joke, that might be the best first impression of a sock

"My first merino socks of course made a good first impression. These are planned daily socks, for a person who uses a bike to get to everywhere in the city everytime of the year (10-40 km each day) and I'll think they'll last a few seasons longer than usual socks. I'll use them for dancing in the winter seasons."

— farald K. (5/5)

New DTS convert

"I've been a customer of a different popular buy-a-pair, give-a-pair stock company for years, but bought these to try out something new. I've worn them 3 or 4 times and they are so comfortable, soft, and they honestly still feel brand new even after a wash. I thought wool was for the winter but even unintentionally July heat, they're breathable. No smell, no gross worn-sock feeling. I'm very impressed. Plus, the lifetime warranty is a huge boost of confidence."

— Matthew M. (5/5)

Comfortable, durable and cool design

"Comfortable, durable and cool design"

Slides down

"Again, the only nitpick is that it slides down. I wish I got these as micro crew instead or if they can figure out a way to keep these in place."

— Jim P. (4/5)
