"The quality and lifetime warranty will always be an enormous draw to any Darn Tough sock. These would be the perfect running sock, good durability thus far and wicking properties of a wool blend, but they are too narrow and tight at the toes for my liking. I wear wide toe box shoes and prefer less constricting socks to accompany that style. Slightly looser toe area would make these an optimal sock and get it to 5 stars."

"There are noticeable seams that run along the very ends of my toes, and my feet were much smellier at the end of my first shift wearing these socks. I did not have either of these issues with Smartwool’s direct competitor sock. I decided to switch from Smartwool due to the low durability of their no-cushion running socks, having gotten holes at the same location on different pairs of socks, and because their warranty is limited. I was hoping Darn Tough would provide a more durable, viable alternative. I am disappointed and will probably go back to my old socks despite the drawbacks."

Q&A

Should I size up or down? Im a size 12 which is right on the line for sizing. I tend to wash and dry my socks so they might shrink a bit. The large range from size 10-12. A size 10 sock would be way too tight for me. Since I’m a solid size 12, should I go for the XL?
