Reviews

My first pair

"This is a review after only a couple weeks. I'm happy so far. They fit very well, I like the sturdy feeling toe area. I will leave another review after 2-3 years. That's when other socks often fail."

Always high quality, just wish

"Always high quality, just wish they fit a tad loser. Length is good but they are a little snug in the two sock system i tun in my hunting boots."

"I am hooked on Darn Tough! Cushion, fit, comfort, unbeatable. I have a full line up of Darn Tough socks for hunting. From light to heavy weight all bases are covered! If you have not checked them out yet, what are you waiting for?"

Great Sock!!

"Having spent most of my adult life in the military, I always thought a sock was just a sock. A friend talked me into the Darn Tough purchase and I couldn’t believe the difference. This sock does everything it’s supposed to. Doesn’t lose its shape after all the sweat from several miles under a heavy ruck. Seems to dry more quickly than some of the other sportier brands I’ve used. Don’t waste time reading any other reviews, buy they Darn things!"

Guy H. (5/5)

Awesome

"Awesome and perfect all around. TY"

Michael M. (5/5)

Outstanding performance and warranty!

"I absolutely love these socks! The green with orange accent colors is perfect for the hunting theme and the merino wool provides excellent warmth with great moisture wicking yet remains breathable. Match that with an no holds bar lifetime warranty and you have a product that I can’t stop recommending to friends and family!"

Chris L. (5/5)

Great socks!

"These are my favorite socks. Great for active hunts and just about anything where you don’t want a thick sock."

The socks for me

"Before I start this review, I need to clarify something. I’m not just a sock guy—I’m the sock guy. Not a foot guy. Those dudes are… different. I can still remember being in second grade and being absolutely miserable in socks. Every day I’d come home, rip them off in disgust, and go barefoot the rest of the day. That tragedy followed me into adulthood… until I finally decided enough was enough. I went on the adventure of a lifetime to find the right sock. Now I’m a 36-year-old man, and I’ve finally done it. I found the sock. And when I say I’ve tried every kind of sock, I mean I’ve earned the right to say it. Let’s start at the beginning: cotton socks. I don’t think we need to get into their shortcomings, because they are vast and endless. Moving on. Next up: regular wool. Again—great in theory, but for me? Just not comfortable. At all. It always feels like my feet are being mildly punished for existing. Now we get into the upper echelon, which is where it gets tricky. You’ve got alpaca and you’ve got merino—and in my opinion, that’s the cream of the crop. Here’s the thing: I’ve worn both, and do I enjoy an alpaca sock on occasion? You’re darn right I do. They’re soft. They’re warm. They feel like luxury. But the durability just isn’t there. I’m not paying $20–$30 a pair for socks with no warranty and no realistic hope of them lasting a year. Are they softer? Yes. Are they just as warm? Yes. But when you’re spending this much on socks, durability has to matter, and quite frankly… I know alpaca doesn’t have it. But Darn Tough didn’t let me down. I’ve received several pairs now, and “impressed” doesn’t even cover it. These socks feel genuinely tough and durable, yet somehow still soft and comfortable. My feet are warm, but always dry. No clammy feeling. No irritation. No immediate “get these off my feet” moment. And I’m not babying them either—I’ve worn them hunting and on outdoor adventures, and I wear them as daily socks for work. They show no signs of fading and they’re holding up fantastically. Some might say $20–$30 for a pair of socks is expensive. I get it. But honestly? After wearing these, I’d pay $100 to be this comfortable. And once you factor in the lifetime warranty, it’s borderline financially irresponsible not to buy these socks. Quite simply: these socks are amazing. If you’ve ever struggled to find the right sock, this is the one."
