All-Day Merino Wool Comfort

To say we knit with the finest yarns is both a statement of quality and comfort. Merino Wool yarn is indeed a fine yarn – thin, silky, nothing like rag wool. For our more casual socks and dress socks, we knit using our thinnest Merino with a watchful eye over a performance fit. This means our lifestyle socks are sublimely smooth and wrap your foot, truly seamlessly, without bunching or slipping. Add wool’s ability to stay dry, resist odor, and regulate temperature, and you have all-day comfort. At least.

"Ok think may be the perfect sock. The weight and thinness of the sock are just right. They reach a good height on my calf and do not fall down."

"darn tough socks are amazingly comfortable and durable. from everyday wear to camping, hiking and running they hold up well and perform as advertised."

Tight in the calf

"I only wear darn tough socks! For myself, I need more calf room. The socks are too tight in that area and it cuts off the circulation. So I cannot pull them up whin I wear boots. All other aspects of the socks are great."

Breck K. (4/5)

Disappointed

"They are thicker than I prefer and too snug around calf"

"Now this is the solidity I was expecting!"

Best socks I've had

"I've previously ran through a pair of merino socks in 1 to 2 months. I've yet to use these for that long, but already the difference in quality is very noticeable. The socks are the most comfortable I've ever worn, at the same time warm and breathable, light and still very strong-feeling from the bottom. I expect the ROI for the socks to be less than 6 months for me, so if they last that long without guarantee replacement, I consider that very much a win. Either way, I get new socks when they wear out. I love the concept!"

Disappointed

"I love all my midweight DT socks and wear them all winter, so I was curious to try their thinner socks for spring/summer/fall. However, these were terrible. The size was right, but the shape of the sock was way off, with areas of loose textile hanging off my foot and rubbing in an annoying way when walking. Perhaps this would shrink away a bit after washing? The socks also felt like they held the moisture from my foot rather than wicking it away, which is not the experience I had with the midweight socks, which kept my feet dry."

Benediktas B. (1/5)

Nice alternative to Crew socks

"I have long used the crew length, but a physiotherapist recently pointed out that they are putting a bit too much pressure on my calf. Restricting blood flow is not good. I decided to give the mid-calf version a try, and they are definitely less constrictive. Let's see how this wear with time - I've been a huge fan of Darn Tough socks sofar!"
