"I have had Darn Tough socks before, but the taller ones have always been too tight on my legs. These shorter ones, while still tight, don't cut into my ankles or slide down. I am not particularly heavy, but I wish that the tops were just a little more forgiving. The cushioning is lovely and would get more if they weren't so tight at the top"
"I have bought DTVS for years and generally love them. Quarter height is best for me. I wear 8.5-9 shoes but wide feet. A medium is just too snug, so I finally bought women’s large and it fits much better. Slightly long is better than too snug."

"Although these socks are more expensive than your typical sock, every penny is worth it. I’ve worn these for field work and backpacking and they’ve been so comfortable the entire time! They are pretty smell resistant too, after backpacking for three days in the summer they only just started to smell. I would recommend this height if you want some ankle coverage but think the crew is too tall."
