Unrivaled Durability

We make one thing, and we make it better than anyone else – ask any thru hiker and you will likely hear the same. In order to unconditionally guarantee a hiking sock for life, it must be durable. It must maintain its comfort, and it has to fit for miles upon miles on-trail. The socks that do return through warranty inform how we can improve. And we do. Our guarantee is a promise to you, but it’s a standard for us. We have yet to produce our best sock, but we get better with every step.

My Favorite Warm Weather Choice

"This is currently my favorite Micro Crew. The cushion is just right for my foot so it feels great. I like the way they are made without loose threads inside. The socks with more detailed patterns have loose threads inside and I find that annoying at times. Thanks for giving me choices!"

Great Socks

"Darn Tough makes the world's best socks, thats why they are backed by a lifetime guarantee. Excellent comfort and smell adverse. Definitely recommend for the whole family."

Comfy but they do tend to slide down some

"This pair tends to droop down my leg before the end of the day; otherwise they are wonderful, comfortable socks. The cushioned sole is great with my neuropathy."

"The darn tough socks are AMAZINGLY comfortable. . all over. . toes, heels, ankles, and mind pleasing… they will travel the El Camino in Portugal and create peace with each step:)"

Sock convert!!!

"I'm the type of person that only ever really wore socks that I could buy 5-10 at a time from Costco, and I'd wear them for everything: to the office, on 10 mile hikes, for 12-hour walking days. I've never had an issue with blisters, and just figured that when the socks felt abrasive on the balls of my feet, that was just par for the course for being on your feet for so long. I thought paying more than a few dollars, much less $25, for a pair of socks was frankly insane. But recently I started hiking regularly, and everybody was saying how much of a difference it makes to have high quality socks. I saw a lot of people saying that if you spend 20-30% of your life on your feet, you might as well take care of them. I begrudgingly bought some DT socks, figuring that I had nothing to lose with a lifetime warranty and everything, and oh my GOD. I did not realize how much of a difference SOCKS could make! DT's claims about merino wool are no joke - zero odor, incredible temperature control (currently hiking in California summers, and it doesn't even feel like my feet sweat!) at lightweight and midweight, and so so comfortable. I really didn't think a sock could make so much of a difference, but I've definitely been convinced. I love these socks for hiking, and the only thing stopping me from converting my entire sock drawer to DT is the fact that they lack a true no-show sock. I prefer a no-show sock that is completely unseen from the outside, vs. an almost-ankle sock. But for any pants that cover the top of my shoe, I would absolutely rock even these microcrews as a daily wear sock."

Great sock

"While these socks are way more expensive than I ever thought I’d pay for a sock, I have to say they are the best socks I’ve ever bought. Sure they’re very comfortable, but man are they tough. I’m not very forgiving on footwear and usually socks don’t last. But I’ve had these for several months now and used hard and they show no signs of failure. No holes or any thin spots which for me usually show up on the heels and sometimes the balls of my feet. Nope. And the merino keeps the smell down. I have a habit of wearing socks for multiple days, especially when out in the wild, and they don’t even get hard and crusty. It’s PFM to me. I like em."

Love my Women's Light Hiker Micro Crew socks

"I love my new Micro Crew hiking socks! They fit just as I had expected, feel very comfortable and did not bunch up on my recent 5 mile hike. My feet stayed dry and did not feel sweaty at all. Darn Tough-Darn Good!"

Great weight & warm socks

"First time order. Wanted to use with hiking boots. Love them!"

Cynthia W. (5/5)

Love the seamless toe and easy wash & dry when traveling.

"I love the seamless toe design. All socks should be made with seamless toes! The color and design options are adorable. But the main reason I bought these merino wool socks is because they wash & dry easily for traveling."
