"OK, you asked for it, so here goes…. I have been a long time (at least 15 yeas) fan of your socks. I currently own close to 20 pairs, almost all are quarter hikers or mid weight hikers. Over the years as my arches have fallen, I have had to go from wearing a large size to extra large. The issue for me is that the extra large seem to be a tad bit too big. So, I am unsure if this is possible, but I think it would be great if you made a sock that was between a large and extra large. Overall, I firmly believe you folks make the best socks on the planet "

"My go-to hiking socks. They feel great even after 15+ miles and pair perfectly with my La Sportiva Ultra Raptor 3s. They stay in place, manage moisture well, and don’t cause hot spots or bunching. My only complaint is that they can feel a little warm on hot summer hikes, but overall they’re comfortable, durable, and my first choice for hiking."
Excellent Cost per Wear
"I have worn the Darn Tough Quarter Midweight for years. The cushioning is perfect for hiking and everyday activities. Pretty much the only socks I buy. The warranty is an added bonus. I wear these mostly in the summer and early fall/late spring. They usually last for eight years. Though I'm still wearing a pair from 2015."

- How do they run as far as fit
- Our socks are designed to have a snug, performance fit to stay in place and prevent hot spots and blisters.
- Are these socks tough enough to be use in a normal washing machine and normal dryer machine? Should I be concern that it might strink because I read on Amazon review it does.
- We recommend washing your Darn Tough socks in cold or warm water and either line or tumble drying on low to no heat. Don't be alarmed if they come out of the wash looking smaller than when they went in. Much like a pair of jeans, there is a fabric recovery period where the socks stretch out a little to fit your feet again. While standard detergent is fine, it's best to stay away from fabric softener, Oxyclean, and bleach. If your socks start to feel like they aren't as soft as they once were, it can help to wash them with a specific wool wash/detergent like Eucalan or Nikwax. Laundering inside out also helps fluff up the cushion layer which can flatten over years of use.
