Tough, light quarter crew socks

"So far, the socks have held up. I'm pretty tough on my clothing, especially socks as I walk around the house in them. They seem to be a bit tight, so I ordered the extra large vs. the large from my last order. I can't tell the size difference- both fit but can be tough (pun intended?) to pull on. Once they're on, they feel great. A previous pair that I purchased is really thin in one area, but these particular pair seem to be just fine. I wear them as everyday socks, even though they are for running. I don't want crazy colors and designs- I wish I could get white quarter crew socks that are a bit thicker."

Elite foot covers

"Never felt something so dreamy and comfy on the bottom of my legs. True to size. True to color. (black) True to weight. True to cool max. I put the socks on my foot and then put my shoe over them. That seemed to work best. I tried running in just the socks and that had limited benefit. I do not believe that is how they were designed. I did reach out to Darn Tough just to clarify but I did not receive a response back. In all fairness I did send my message via Carrier pigeon in training, so I don’t hold any case against their customer service."

I'm looking for a good mens sock to wear for playing golf What do you recommend?
