"Bought 3/pair for work: soft, cushiony and well made. . . only drawback is that I wear steel toe'd boots for work and within the past couple 8 hr shifts I've noticed weardown by the big toe. I do keep my nails short, so that wouldn't be the cause. The only conclusion that i can come up with is the rubbing of the steel toes."

I bought these socks in the past and they lasted for years and years despite frequent wear and washing. As expected, excellent customer service from Darn Tough. And for me the cost per wear is lower than cheaper alternatives that require more frequent replacement."
"Great fit (XL for size 13 shoe), comfortable all day long on and off the trail, stay warm when wet, and funk mitigating. I found them so comfortable on the trail that I purchased more, replaced all my other socks, and now only wear these or a lighter weight Darn Tough socks option. I used to take off my old cotton socks the moment I got home for a sense of relief (socks as a necessary evil) and now find myself reluctant to take these off (socks as a desired luxury). After 6 months of wear they are showing some evidence of the washing machine (a little fuzzy), but still function perfectly."

"Went on a 5 day pack out backcountry hunt, took 5 pairs, only wore two, the socks held up incredibly even after approach and stalking over 15 miles and 2k feet of elevation gain. Allowed for several hours of drying time between morning and evening hunts, was able to wear them all day for two straight days. I ordered in several colors for easy ID of daily wear, clean versus in-use. Even after a couple of days, if I had to wear them for a couple more days, I’ve no doubt these would hold up and stay dry and fresh feeling."
