"I’d worn out 3 pair of well used and well loved darn tough hiking socks. They just didn’t hold their shape after so many miles and so many washes. (I’d gone through 3 pair of boots too). Sent the socks back and just received 3 pair of new hiking socks. Wow, Darn Tough is a company that truly honors their promises-impressive!!"
"I bought a pair of these to see if they were cooler than the traditional merino wool. Sadly they were not cooler. They were also not as comfortable. Hard to describe, but it was almost like I could feel the individual loops on the soles of my feet. I’ll stick to my traditional Darn Toughs, which are 5 star"

"I'm the type of person that only ever really wore socks that I could buy 5-10 at a time from Costco, and I'd wear them for everything: to the office, on 10 mile hikes, for 12-hour walking days. I've never had an issue with blisters, and just figured that when the socks felt abrasive on the balls of my feet, that was just par for the course for being on your feet for so long. I thought paying more than a few dollars, much less $25, for a pair of socks was frankly insane. But recently I started hiking regularly, and everybody was saying how much of a difference it makes to have high quality socks. I saw a lot of people saying that if you spend 20-30% of your life on your feet, you might as well take care of them. I begrudgingly bought some DT socks, figuring that I had nothing to lose with a lifetime warranty and everything, and oh my GOD. I did not realize how much of a difference SOCKS could make! DT's claims about merino wool are no joke - zero odor, incredible temperature control (currently hiking in California summers, and it doesn't even feel like my feet sweat!) at lightweight and midweight, and so so comfortable. I really didn't think a sock could make so much of a difference, but I've definitely been convinced. These Coolmax socks definitely feel thinner than even the hiker lightweight microcrew, even though these are midweight, but they feel just as comfortable and temperature-regulating. I love these socks for hiking, and the only thing stopping me from converting my entire sock drawer to DT is the fact that they lack a true no-show sock. I prefer a no-show sock that is completely unseen from the outside, vs. an almost-ankle sock. But for any pants that cover the top of my shoe, I would absolutely rock even these microcrews as a daily wear sock."

The color is very attractive, even though color doesn't matter much to me; durability and function matters, and these are clearly made for every day wear."

"Best socks in the world! They are so comfortable. Both of my kids want to steal them! Haha The fit and shape is perfect. I’m a size 7 and ordered a small. These are high quality socks and definitely hold up on the trail. Not too thick and not too thin. The elasticity is perfect. I can wear them with my hiking boots or my blundstones.
